Does anyone here ever go to the Sri Mahakali temple in Portland, OR?

Tue, January 10, 2006 - 9:38 PMThe site uses frames, go to www.srimahakalitemple.org to see all the pages. But the temple is at 4732 NE 14th Ave in the NE Alberta neighbourhood. I have only been there once so far, for Divali last year. I tried to go again last weekend, but it was closed. The temple schedule seems to be erratic this month. -

Wed, January 11, 2006 - 10:49 PMI've been. The services are really nice. My only other experience with a Hindu temple has been ISKCON. It's a little different, in that it feels more technical than ISKCON, not quite so westernized. I liked it, tho. I may go again. The Swami there, Kalkiji, is really knowledgeable & approachable. I felt comfortable asking him questions. Enjoy your visit, Namaste! -

Mon, June 2, 2008 - 9:01 AMI've taken a Eastern Psychology class with Kalkiji at Marylhurst, he and his wife are very nice and open people. They are a little hard to get a hold of though, I emailed them about visiting the temple and never received a reply. I'd love to go along with others who want to visit the temple. It would be very nice to see them again,

i'm not sure how easy it is to get S. Kalki to reply to emails, because he never did when i originally contacted him via email (at the suggestion of his wife), but i know he's teaching a class at Marylhurst again this summer, so i may run into him on campus.
