if you had the opportunity to stand in front of the Mother Divine as Maha Kali, seeing Her in a form with your two eyes open, able to ask Her for any blessing or knowledge that you deeply desire -- what would you say?

Re: what would you say to Kali?
Sat, May 24, 2008 - 1:13 PM1. I would ask her to bless me "Ishta Kamyardhi Sidhirasthu".. "May you get what ever you wish for"...
2. I would also ask her to help mankind realize the need for both Earthly and Spiritual Achievements. (This will make not only mine but lives of lot of people so happy. Not because they become happy by it, but not make others unhappy with only Earthly or only Spiritual Pursuits)

Sat, May 24, 2008 - 4:02 PMwhat do you say to God?
Hi Ma! thanks for everything!
if I had to ask for a boon, it would probably be to always be aware of eternally abiding in Her presence starting now through liberation in this life. -

Re: what would you say to Kali?
Mon, May 26, 2008 - 11:06 AMI would quickly remove my shoes and clothes if I was wearing any, fall to her feet and with tear filled eyes and shaky voice, I would thank her for the auspicious oppurtunity to be at the lotus feet of her Victorious form. I might not even say anything all but "Maa" because i'd be so choked up. I am choking up now just thinking about it...

Tue, May 27, 2008 - 2:25 PMwhat would it take, do you think, to have that experience, I mean, in person and all? seeing Her, talking with Her, asking those beautiful boons. I really love it that most people are asking for some way to help heal the world.

Insanity is a good place to start. An organic brain disorder is another. Ramakrishna's visions were likely to have been a manifestation of psychomotor epilepsy. -

Re: what would you say to Kali?
Wed, May 28, 2008 - 10:24 AMMany saints go mad with devotion. So yes going mad with love for your deity would be needed to visualize your deity. Most people do not believe this things are possible because they think with a logical awareness and by social standards of sanity. Once this limitation is overcome and you can be truly free and see not only visions of the divine but the divine in everything is when you become truly free, acting and doing what is right for your spiritual process even if it means that you are viewed as mentally ill by social standards and the medical community. Social standards and the medical opinion of others does not mean much who is so absorbed in devotion that they actually see a physical manifestation of their deity.
It is also said that the Kundali when woken up identifies with the ishta-devata. Since this is your life force and energy you become that deity which can be also projected by this awakened energy force.

Re: what would you say to Kali?
Wed, May 28, 2008 - 10:25 AMThe world exists as her manifestation, everyone being liberated from the sufferings of it at the right time. The world does not need healing or changing, she manifests everything according to as it should be, which is why the Universe exists in a perfect flux. -

Thu, May 29, 2008 - 11:11 PMhey, Rasa --
but but but..... She IS manifesting healing (and the means through which to heal) and changing.
ergo, maybe the world DOES need these precise things.

Call me a downer, but She is manifesting disease, drug addiction, war and anything else you can think of. *All of it.* It is only She who exists as the fundamentalist, evangelical right. The idea that our "Mother" is looking out for us is at best quaint. She killed 80,000 in China a month ago. She may kill many more in our next big one. For every "healing" action you believe She performs, there are at least as many harmful events occurring.
My point is to say that there is nothing that be ascribed to Kali specifically, except in what we decide to believe. But that belief will always face the fact that Kali is responsible for *everything*. To say She's bringing healing is exactly the same as saying She's bringing death.

Re: what would you say to Kali?
Thu, July 24, 2008 - 12:27 AMI thought about answering this...but then I realised; I actually do talk to Mother at times.
Given that, this thread actually surprises me a bit. Does it mean that other people don't talk to her?
I'm also not meaning to brag when I say that either, though. I'm not necessarily meaning to imply that I feel that she answers me all the time; although I'm sufficiently audacious to be willing to claim that she possibly has once or twice. ;-) I don't view Kali purely in the monadic or "everything," sense, myself; I've read too much about other people (and myself, to a limited degree) interacting with a specific personality or *being* to be able to purely adopt that view...so in my own mind, there is an aspect which is an individual entity as much as there is the overall "everything" element as well.
To actually answer though; I feel as though the only really proper thing to ask for would be her continued presence. I'd probably also ask for assistance in remembering to offer my anger or negative ego-based behaviour to her before I offer it to other human beings, as I have a tendency to forget to do that. ;-)
I read once where she told someone to give her their demon, or their negative internal stuff. -

Re: what would you say to Kali?
Thu, July 24, 2008 - 6:52 AMMy meditation is basically a dialogue (should probably say monologue) with Ma - isn't that what most of us do? Recently I've been asking Her "who are you?" because She seems to be constantly showing me a new form of Herself. It's as if I'm being given a glimpse of each of the Mahavidyas (slightly worried about if, when and why Dhumavati might appear). I'm beginning to understand what's meant by the play of Ma.
But I talk to her quite a bit. As to what I say to Her, I just beg Her to come and live in my heart.

Fri, July 25, 2008 - 12:47 AM*grinning*
I think She's pretty much taking care of all the demons, again.... by creating a divine renaissance on the planet. don't forget the demons are also in us, expressed as our own negative qualities and tendencies. it's why we need Her shakti so much -- to help the side of us that is like Her dissolve those rakshasas in our own hearts.

Re: what would you say to Kali?
Wed, July 30, 2008 - 9:15 AMSidhu,
I dont know you- but I have heard a bit about Her. She is the energy that makes you, you. She is the blood that flows in your veins. Sacrifice your selfishness and your self to her and awaken to a spiritual life dedicated to her. I also replied to you on the other thread. Sacrifice to her in this life and every life. And I am not talking about sacrificing your body to her- but your life- every waking moment, every thought, every action- dedicate it to her. She will be pleased.
